Bible:
Mighty Oaks uses Purposeful Design for grades K - 6th. The middle school students use Frank Turek and Shanda Fulbright's course on apologetics. These curricula provide an age-appropriate overview of the Bible, cultivating a view of Scripture as the ultimate source of truth and the means of knowing God.
Language Arts:
All of the Mighty Oaks Language Arts curriculum follows the research-backed Science of Reading initiative to teach a phonetic approach to the English language. K-6th will use Purposeful Design, which focuses on grammar, reading, and writing, as well as Zaner-Blose for developing clear, legible handwriting and cursive. 7-8th will use MOSDOS, a comprehensive language arts program that utilizes both classic and modern literature with traditional values.
Mathematics:
Saxon Math is taught for grades K - 8. This curriculum teaches the fundamentals of mathematics to prepare students for high school Algebra and Calculus. Lessons are broken down into small, manageable pieces, allowing students to gain confidence and mastery through daily practice.
Social Studies/History:
Students are taught My Father's World Christian curriculum, based around the following themes: God's Creation from A to Z, Learning God's Story, Adventures in U.S. History, and Exploration to 1850. All of these themes incorporate exploring our world's history and cultures, all with a biblical worldview.
Science:
K - 6 teachers use Mystery Science with labs and hands-on learning as the foundation of our science curriculum. Grades 7 & 8 learn from Science in the Atomic Age by Dr. Jay Wile with in-class labs. All classes learn how the universe was created by God and glorifies Him.
